Shannon joined VHS Fletchers in August 2019 as a newly qualified solicitor having been admitted onto the roll of solicitors in August 2019. Shannon read law at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown and graduated with an LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology degree in 2013, before going on to study a Masters in Criminal Justice at Liverpool John Moores University where she attained her MA with Merit.
After taking a year out of studying, and moving back to Belfast, Shannon relocated again to Nottingham where she completed the part time LPC at Nottingham Trent University while working for another Nottingham based criminal firm as part of their prison law team and attaining her police station accreditation. She also gained experience in advising clients whilst working in the CDS Direct call centre.
In 2018 Shannon began her training contract focusing on criminal law, civil litigation and personal injury. Shannon secured her solicitors’ Higher Rights qualification during her training, allowing her to represent her future clients before the Crown Court and also the Court of Appeal.
Outside of work Shannon is an avid gym-goer and has competed as part of the relay team in the Belfast Marathon on a number of occasions.
